Julie Krone was a top American jockey and is one of the most accomplished female jockeys ever.
In 1993, she became the first female jockey to win the Belmont Stakes. In 1999 she was the first female jockey inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.
Krone won 3,545 races during her career, winning her first racing event at the age of 5. Julie retired April 18, 1999 as the only woman to win a triple Crown race.
