Peterson played college football for Louisiana State University, earned All-American honors, and was recognized as the best college defensive back in the country. He was drafted fifth overall by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2011 NFL Draft. Peterson earned his first All-Pro honors in 2011 and was selected to his first Pro Bowl.
