Fortunately for fans of the new golf generation, Rickie traded in his dirt bike for a golf cart at the age of 14. As an amateur, Fowler was the number one ranked amateur for 36 weeks during 2007 and 2008. He became the first person in history to win the NCAA Player of the Year as a freshman at Oklahoma State University.
Rickie had a strong presence on the PGA Tour in 2010 earning him the title of rookie of the year and a spot on the 2011 US Ryder Cup Team. His momentum and style carried Rickie to his first win as a professional when he won the OneAsia Tour's Korea Open in October 2011. His first PGA Tour win came in 2012 at the Wells Fargo Championship.
