  • GOAL: IUE needed to immediately find a reputable sports celebrity figure who would help introduce the IUE wireless earpiece to major colleges, minor league teams and professional sports teams. IUE had a pre-determined budget with a very short timeframe to secure the sports talent with the college football season fast approaching.
  • CHALLENGES: 1) A very short timeframe to secure the talent 2) Finding a nationally recognized sports celebrity willing to accept IUE's offer 3) Negotiating all contracts, securing production locations, and gaining approval of all name, face, and image usage rights in time for IUE's sales team to present the product to potential NCAA schools.
  • ACTION PLAN: Direct Sportslink presented InUrEar with 15-20 options of famous sports broadcasters, NFL greats, famous college and professional sports coaches, and other high profile sports celebrity talent within their budget. IUE selected 5 suitable spokespeople, Direct Sportslink began negotiating with each of the 5 celebrities for various granted rights.
  • SUMMARY/RESULT: Direct Sportslink secured famous college football announcer Keith Jackson on behalf of IUE to introduce their product. Direct Sportslink negotiated all contracts, secured the Rose Bowl as the production location for video and print usage (close to Keith Jackson's home to limit travel cost and allow for a major college football game environment), and we handled the approval process for all negotiated marketing and advertising rights.  The result is that IUE has signed major colleges including but not limited to Ohio State, Florida, and LSU. IUE knows that the business relationship with Keith Jackson has helped them secure immediate brand recognition and credibility in order to sell their product.
