Andrew Gregory Dalton, born on October 29, 1987, is a seasoned professional football quarterback currently playing for the Carolina Panthers in the NFL. Known as the "Red Rifle" due to his strong arm and red hair, Dalton first made a name for himself during his college career at Texas Christian University (TCU). As the leader of the TCU Horned Frogs, he became the school's all-time leader in quarterback wins and capped off his college career with a victory in the 2011 Rose Bowl. His impressive performance at TCU led to his selection by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, where he would go on to make a significant impact.

Dalton's tenure with the Bengals was marked by early success, as he led the team to five consecutive playoff appearances from 2011 to 2015. His partnership with wide receiver A.J. Green was particularly notable, as the duo set records for completions and yards by a rookie quarterback/receiver combination. Dalton also set several franchise records for the Bengals, including passing touchdowns, single-season passing yards, and single-season passing touchdowns. Despite his regular-season achievements, Dalton struggled in the postseason, failing to secure a playoff victory during his time in Cincinnati.

After nine seasons with the Bengals, Dalton was released in 2020 following a series of losing seasons. He then embarked on a journeyman phase of his career, spending one season each with the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints. In these roles, Dalton alternated between starting and backup duties, showcasing his ability to adapt to different team environments. His experience and leadership continued to make him a valuable asset, even as he transitioned into more of a mentoring role for younger quarterbacks.

In 2023, Dalton signed with the Carolina Panthers, where he continues to contribute as a veteran presence on the team. His career, marked by resilience and adaptability, has earned him respect across the league. Dalton's ability to lead teams and his extensive experience make him a valuable figure in the NFL, both on and off the field.
