Drew Brees is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, having played 20 seasons, primarily with the New Orleans Saints. The pinnacle of Brees' career came in 2010 when he led the Saints to their first Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XLIV, earning the game's MVP award. His impact on the city of New Orleans extended beyond the field, as he became a symbol of hope and resilience in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

By the time Brees retired after the 2020 season, he had been selected to 13 Pro Bowls and had twice been named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year. He also led the league in passing yards a record seven times, further solidifying his legacy as one of the most prolific passers in NFL history. After his playing career, Brees briefly worked as an analyst for NBC's Sunday Night Football and later returned to Purdue as an interim assistant coach in 2022, continuing his involvement in the sport he loves.
