Young was selected as the third overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, a testament to his exceptional talent and potential. His selection as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 08 further solidified his status as one of the most exciting young players in the league at the time. Before his professional career, Young was a standout at the University of Texas, where he played for the Texas Longhorns. Despite his early success, Young's career faced challenges, and after leaving the Titans, he had brief stints with the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, and Cleveland Browns.

In 2017, Young attempted a comeback in the Canadian Football League with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, but he was released before the season began. While his professional career had its ups and downs, Young's legacy as a college football icon and his early NFL success remain significant. His ability to inspire and lead on the field, particularly during his time with the Texas Longhorns, continues to resonate with fans and players alike.
