In addition to her international success, Morgan has had a decorated club career, playing for teams like Portland Thorns FC, Orlando Pride, and French powerhouse Lyon, where she won the UEFA Women's Champions League as part of a continental treble in 2017. In 2022, she joined San Diego Wave FC, where she won the NWSL Golden Boot as the league's top scorer and helped the team secure the NWSL Shield.

Off the field, Morgan has made significant contributions to the sport through her writing and media appearances. She co-authored a middle-grade book series, "The Kicks," which became a New York Times Best Seller. In 2018, she made her acting debut in the film "Alex & Me," where she played a fictionalized version of herself. Morgan has also been a trailblazer in the commercial space, becoming one of the first female soccer players to appear on the cover of the FIFA video game series.
