Fitzgerald played college football for the University of Pittsburgh, and earned All-American honors. The Arizona Cardinals chose Fitzgerald with the third overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. He has been selected for the Pro Bowl numerous times. He was the NFL's receiving yards leader in 2008 and was named the 2009 Pro Bowl MVP.
