Under head coach Mike D'Antoni, Nash led the Suns to multiple deep playoff runs, including two Western Conference Finals appearances. His ability to run the pick-and-roll, combined with his elite shooting and passing, revolutionized the Suns' offense and earned him two consecutive MVP awards. Nash finished his career ranked among the NBA's all-time leaders in assists, free throw percentage, and three-point shooting. In 2018, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest point guards in NBA history.

Beyond his on-court achievements, Nash has been recognized for his philanthropic efforts and contributions to the sport globally. He was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world in 2006 and was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2007. Nash has also been involved in soccer, serving as a co-owner of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC since 2011.
