William Anthony Parker Jr., better known as Tony Parker, is a French-American former professional basketball player who left an indelible mark on the NBA and international basketball. He was instrumental in France's victory at EuroBasket 2013, where he was named the tournament MVP after leading his team to a gold medal. Parker also became the all-time leading scorer in EuroBasket history in 2015, a record that stood until it was surpassed by Pau Gasol in 2017. His contributions to French basketball have made him a national icon and one of the most respected figures in European basketball.

After retiring from the NBA in 2019, Parker transitioned into a successful business career, becoming the majority owner of ASVEL Basket, a top team in France's LNB Pro A league. His influence on the game continues through his leadership role with ASVEL and his involvement in various basketball-related ventures. In recognition of his outstanding career, Parker was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on August 13, 2023, further cementing his place among the basketball greats.
