Terry Francona was drafted out of the University of Arizona in the first round of the 1980 amateur draft by the Montreal Expos, using the 22nd overall selection. At Arizona he earned the Golden Spikes Award in 1980 as the best player in amateur baseball. He is most recognized for his success as a MLB manager.
Francona's major league managerial career began with the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Red Sox hired Francona to manage their club in 2004 and he promtly led them to a World Series title. He was also the manager for the 2007 Boston Red Sox World Series Champion team. He left the Red Sox in 2011 and took a position as a baseball television analyst. He knows how to lead a winning team and would be an ideal speaker for team building and leadership speaking engagements, particularly in the state of Massachusetts.
