By 2012, he was selected to the MLB All-Star Game, and in 2014, he led the National League in strikeouts, further solidifying his status as one of the premier pitchers in the game.

Strasburg's crowning achievement came in 2019 when he played a pivotal role in leading the Washington Nationals to their first-ever World Series championship. His performance in the postseason was historic, as he tied the record for most wins in a single postseason with five victories and became the first pitcher in MLB history to win five games in a single postseason without a loss. For his efforts, Strasburg was named the 2019 World Series MVP, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest pitchers in Nationals history.
