Johnson played college football at the University of Miami, where he was the 2002 Rose Bowl MVP. He also ran track and field while at UM.
The Texans drafted Johnson as the third overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft. He has been named to several Pro Bowls, been named an ALL-PRO selection numerous times, and led the NFL in receiving yards in 2008 and 2009.
In his rookie season in 2003, Johnson founded the Andre Johnson Foundation for children and teens growing up in single-parent homes.
